 
At it's inception in April of 2002, ADD-X acquired and renovated a new lodge in the Town of St George's. The building, a landmark of the community was constructed in 1945-46 by the West Coast power Company. The lumber had been used previously as forming material in the lookout brook hydro project on Flat Bay Brook. West Coast power maintained the railway warehouse until 1966 when Newfoundland Power was which had formed. That same year, the building became property of the St. George's Lions, formed on Dec 6th, 1964. The Lions proudly served their community until the 1990's when the building became the property of the Barachois Development Association. The Association eventually sold the building to a Private Entrepreneur who operated a Restaurant there, which closed in 2000. Addventure X Incorporated acquired the building in April of 2002 and set out to renovate it to the present day lodge.
ADD-X Inc. has given the old structure new life as their operating headquarters. This modern lodge is a provincially licensed accommodation and a Canada Select and Hospitality Newfoundland Member. Addventure X Lodge and Cafe boasts 5 modern rooms with vibrant decor and antique furniture. Two and a 1/2 baths are shared by room guests only. Cafe patrons have separate public facilities. The quaint, clean, twenty seat Cafe serves delicious home style cooking in a friendly, hospitable atmosphere. The lodge basement is a large rec-room exclusive to room guests, but also available for corporate or family functions. We Cater. We can accommodate tour buses. The lodge makes a great boarding house. The lodge has a small laundry room for the traveling public. An RV dumping station and water is available and RV's are welcome to park here on our easy access lot. Low traffic and a friendly neighborhood ensure a peaceful night's rest. The friendly, professional, courteous staff will see to your every need.

The small town of St. George's has a credit union, a pharmacy and clinic, convenience stores, souvenirs, night clubs, a recreation complex, licensed mechanics center, and a dealer for Honda and Skidoo servicing of every make and model. St George's hosts Roman Catholic, Anglican, and United Churches. The town boomed as a railway town at the turn of the century as the offshore community of Sandy Point slowly withered after being Western Newfoundland's center of commerce for over 200 years.
